Southeast Enterprises is a social enterprise specializing in hand assembly, inspecting, collating, and fulfillment services. Our organization offers challenging employment opportunities for approximately 125 exceptional associates with developmental disabilities who continue to build on a strong 44 -year reputation for quality service and timely delivery. Associates also have opportunities to work offsite for customers who need conscientious individuals with respectable job skills that may turn into full-time positions. Position Summary

Facilitate impactful, goal oriented vocational opportunities for the individuals with IDD with the potential of transitioning individuals into competitive integrated employment. Will plan, coordinate, and oversee various programs. Needs to be collaborative, goal-oriented, and purpose driven with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask. Requires an emotionally intelligent candidate with skills in conflict resolution , creative problem solving, and unbiased decision making.

Position Title: Program Coordinator
Salary range: $17.00/hour – $20.25/hour
Reports To: Program Director
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM (hours may vary)
Position status: Non-Exempt

Education: High School Diploma required; BS/BA with college studies in Psychology, Developmental and Intellectual Disability, and/or Applied Behavioral Analysis related studies preferred.

General Responsibilities:
Responsible for onsite and/or offsite supervision, skills training, and accurate record documentation (attendance, payroll, required production paperwork), associate monitoring, pick-up/drop-off of transportation vehicle may be required.

Essential Duties:

  • Regularly communicates with and gain final approval from Program Director (task dependent), branch of Associate Services Department
  • Overseeing and upkeeping daily operations of program and skills training (checking on associate progress through Job Coach, overseeing Job Coach responsibilities, inputting associate assessment data, etc.)
  • Maintaining records and files for program
  • Creating forms / making edits on forms for the program as needed
  • Drafting policy, procedure, and process for the program as needed (final approval through CEO)
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to the program, preparing reports
  • Bridge communication between internal and external entities (communicate needed information like scheduling, issues/complaints, changes in program, etc. both with SE staff and offsite facilities)
  • Promote and uphold company ethics.
  • Performs other duties as may assigned by the Program Director.

Minimum Requirements/Skills: 3 years’ experience in industry or sheltered workshop support and supervision. Experience working with and/or willingness to work with diverse constituencies, respect the rights and dignity of those with disabilities. Professional demeanor, trustworthy and reliable, attention to detail, good communication skills, lead by example. Willing to learn contract management. Must have proficient t computer knowledge of Microsoft office, Word, and Excel. Strong positive attitude and work ethic. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.

Physical & Mental Requirements:
Inside work, sitting, occasional local travel, use of hands/fingers/legs, ability to stand for long periods of time, be able to lift 25 lbs., stooping/bending, handle exposure to temperature changes, verbal and written communication required, paperwork.

Position Title: Associates on the Move Team Member
Salary range: minimum wage
Reports To: ATM Supervisor
Job Type: Part-time or Full-time
Hours: 7:45 AM and 2:00 PM or TBD depending on customers’ needs and individual’s availability

General Responsibilities:
Southeast Enterprises’ Associate on the Move teams travel offsite with a supervisor to complete various competitive employment positions. These roles may consist of janitorial, office work, car detailing, lawn care, retail, packaging and assembly, plant care etc. Southeast Enterprises will provide necessary trainings per each job, depending on the skill set needed. Previous job experience preferred but not required. Qualifications are job dependent but may include the following.

Essential Qualifications:
Reading, writing- good penmanship, counting, ability to work independently/semi- independently, reliable, staying focused and completing tasks assigned, being respectful of co-workers, supervisors, and customers.

Other Requirements: Use of hands, ability to adapt to different environments and temperatures, strong, positive attitude.

Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 28.75 hours/week between 7:45 AM and 2:00 PM

General Responsibilities:
Southeast Enterprises Hand Assembly worker performs daily hand work with various jobs, such as collating, kitting, packaging, shrink-wrapping, and other related custom hand work. This job will require some standing and may require using hand tools, such as jigs, visual aide markers, and other small tools.

Position Title: Lead Worker
Salary range: Guaranteed hourly rate
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 28.75 hours/week between 7:45 AM and 2:00 PM

General Responsibilities:
Southeast Enterprises’ Lead Worker serves as an assistant to the Production Supervisor. Their job is to support the Production Supervisor with duties that consist of setting up the work area, helping to keep it clean and safe, counting product produced, writing daily productive numbers for associates, encouraging their co-workers while serving as a role model for their peers.

Reading, writing- good penmanship, counting, ability to work independently/semi- independently, reliable, staying focused and completing tasks assigned, being respectful of co-workers, supervisors, and customers.

Position Title: Production Support Coordinator
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Reports To: Quality Compliance Director
Job Type: Full-time
Hours: 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM (hours may vary slightly)
Position status: Non-Exempt
Education: College graduate, work experience may substitute for education

Essential Qualifications:

  • Create job jackets (shop packs) per established quality processes for each project SE produces (includes entering appropriate data and job requirements on forms, generating packaging labels, and assembling quality process into shop packs
  • Audit and verify customer Bill of Materials
  • Assist with job bids, conducting time studies, writing of job task analysis and photographing/videotaping job steps.
  • Enter calculations into Excel spreadsheets and/or online calculators.
  • Prepare and close job jackets after shipping for billing department
  • Help write/type policies, procedures, processes, and job steps.
  • Help train, coach, encourage, and motivate team leads to efficiently understand standards and perform tasks with quality procedures in mind.
  • Follow established operational processes to help guide production and quality standards.
  • Communicate and/or report any diversion from quality standards.
  • Document and date changes to processes, procedures, policies as required
  • Report labor, production, and quality data on a timely basis.
  • Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and organized manner. 
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the company’s commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and respect for individuals.
  • Exhibit support of/and adherence to Values Statement.
  • Follow all policies and procedures established by the Organization.
  • Performs other related duties as directed by management.

Minimum Requirements/Skills:

2-3 years’ experience in related field; project management, quality control, proper handling of operational documents. Prior working experience with people with developmental disabilities or related experience desired. Highly proficient with Excel, Word. Must be able to type, add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Possess attention to detail and quality work product. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Possess a professional demeanor, reliable, patient, a strong positive attitude and time management skills essential. Must pass background check and pre- employment drug screening. Proven ability and/or willingness to work well with diverse constituents, respect for the rights and dignity of people with disabilities. Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
